Since opening our first clinic in 1997, Rio Grande Regional Hospital has been committed to extending our services closer to where you live and work. Our Women's Clinics are conveniently located throughout Hidalgo County, allowing you to see an OB/GYN for a range of services from routine gynecologic care to maternal fetal medicine.
All locations have perinatal certified nurse practitioners on staff who are supported by a board-certified obstetrician.
McAllen prenatal care and gynecology services
We offer services at three locations in Alamo, Edinburg and McAllen, with a special emphasis on providing OB/GYN care to the underserved and those facing barriers that may make it difficult to receive care at our main hospital. Depending on your needs, we also provide extended access to specialists for diabetes management, genetic counseling, mammograms and many other services.
While in our care, we provide a wide range of same-day services for women, including:
- Breastfeeding support
- Family planning
- Gynecological care, including annual exams, birth control counseling and STD treatment
- Labor coaching and delivery support
- Postpartum care
- Pregnancy tests
- Prenatal nutrition counseling
- Ultrasound evaluations
