Rio Grande Regional Hospital’s 24 Hour Emergency Care Meets The Joint Commission Accreditation Standards

On March 7, 2013, The Joint Commission (TJC) made an unannounced visit to Rio Grande Regional Hospital’s new 24 Hour Emergency Care. TJC makes unannounced visits within six month of opening any new service area. The purpose of the visit was to ensure the center was meeting the standards of care set forth by the accrediting board.

Rio Grande Regional Hospital (RGRH) celebrated the opening of the New Helicopter Landing Pad located next to the emergency entrance. RGRH and AirEvac LifeTeam, the country’s largest independently owned and operated air ambulance service with over 25 years of experience, are working together to provide prompt patient care and quality air transport.

On Friday, February first, RGRH employees are encouraged to wear red and celebrate the tenth anniversary of National Wear Red Day.
