“Before, I couldn't even turn on the water to water the grass because I didn't have any energy. Now, I cut my own grass.”
I will get my energy back.
What were your reasons for taking the leap to weight loss surgery?
My wife and I are both gastric bypass surgery graduates. She got hers first, and I got mine shortly after. I had gout. I had high cholesterol. I was borderline diabetic with high blood pressure. I had GERD disease. And with the surgery, it was all reversed. I don't have anything now.
What was the biggest life change for you after gastric sleeve surgery?
I don’t take aspirin like I used to or any medications for that matter. I work out five times a week. I take my morning shakes. I eat well. I continue to follow the process and I feel a lot better.
Since surgery, what have you been most proud of?
Before, I couldn't even turn on the water to water the grass because I didn't have any energy.
Now, I cut my own grass. I water the plants. I water my yard. And it just gives me more energy
just to be out and about and doing stuff that I wasn't able to back in the day.
If you could share one thing with a potential patient thinking about taking the leap to surgery, what would it be?
From start to finish, my Redefine team took care of me. They made sure that I was doing great and they continue to follow up with me even now. So, I'm very grateful for that.
