Rio Grande Regional Hospital Celebrates the Re-Grand Opening of the Newly Acquired Rio Grande Surgery Center

McAllen, Texas, March 25, 2014 — Rio Grande Regional Hospital (RGRH) celebrated the re-grand opening of the newly acquired Rio Grande Surgery Center located catty-corner to the hospital. The surgery center serves as an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) which is a health care facility that offers patients the convenience of having same-day surgeries and other procedures performed safely outside the hospital setting.  This includes diagnostic and preventive procedures.

“There is a growing need for quality outpatient surgery facilities in our community.  This is exactly why we acquired the Rio Grande Surgery Center,” said Cris Rivera, Chief Executive Officer.  The surgery center has a proven track record of offering top quality compassionate care to its patients.  Aligning the surgery center with the hospital will allow both facilities to continue offering the community Healthcare You Can Trust.”
